Hot Dog of the Week: J's Dawg House

One of our readers was driving through Kenton, Ohio and took a picture of J's Dawg House for us after he ate lunch their.

They have 25 specialty dogs priced at $2.89 each, which is a great price. Don't want a specialty dog? Then just get a regular hot dog for $2.59. They also make their own homemade onion rings.

Thanks to our reader "D.R" for sending this to us. Next time we are in Kenton, we will check it out ourselves.

A breakfast hotdog?

We eat hotdogs for lunch, dinner, appetizers and as snacks.

But what about waking up an having a hot dog for breakfast?

So why this site?

So here is the idea behind the site- When traveling, where could someone in search of a hot dog find a place to eat one?

I am starting out with the restaurants in states that I have been. The more places I go, the more the states and dog eateries get added to the list.

Also, we like to cover the latest in hot dog news. There is so much more to the world of hot dogs than just eating them, and that is where our hot dog of the week, and hot dog news categories come in.

If you have been to a hot dog joint not on the list, drop me an e-mail and tell me where it is so I can add it to the plethora of dog spots. If you have been to a place we HAVE been, vote a thumps up or thumbs down in the comment section.

You never know who might be in need of a hot dog while on the road.

About Hot Dog Guy...

When I was a teenager, my parents opened a business in the town I grew up in. I would venture through the local bulk food candy store and deli for something to eat on the way back from school.

I never had much money, but hot dogs were only .85 cents and a tasty way to feed my appetite of the moment.

Though I don't remember how many dogs I had, or if they were any good, many days I ventured to get a hot dog their. Thus my love of hot dogs was born.

In 2008 my resolution for the year was to average eating one hot dog a day for the entire year. On December 30th, I snarfed down my 366th hot dog completing my resolution.
